I'm a urban dweller who relishes spontaneous community.
That's one reason I love Pittsburgh, but I enjoy visiting other cities too.
I view a city as a living, breathing organism and I think it's a fascinating experience in which I can participate.
I have been living in East End of Pittsburgh for almost 10 years, 4 of these years with a young family (I am godmother to their two girls). It was very educational and I would recommend any single young person to try out a communal living situation like that one. I'm currently in Polish Hill.
I work as a web designer in the South Side and I try to commute by bike whenever possible. I just got through a year-long massage therapy program and working towards home/business ownership.
I also do community theater and random art projects.
See my "Pic-a-day" page for one of them.
